From the living / dining area you can walk out through double doors into a secure, private, south facing garden with a large area of decking with garden furniture including a gas barbeque, where you can sit and enjoy the stunning views.
The kitchen is fully equipped including a large gas range cooker, integrated fridge freezer and dishwasher. Adjoining the kitchen is a utility room where you will find a washing machine, tumble dryer and a separate W.C.
The two bedrooms both with 6'6" long zip and link beds, which gives maximum option on sleeping arrangements of super king or twin beds - this must be requested when booking.
The large spacious family bathroom has an extra wide walk in power shower, bath, sink & toilet.
The cottage has oil fired central heating throughout.
You can enjoy many wonderful walks straight from the front door of Swincombe Mill on public footpaths, including some exclusive routes on private Estate ground for our staying guests including up to Swincombe Reservoir and up on to the moor, with panoramic views to South Wales, Lundy Island and Dartmoor. Herds of Red Deer can frequently be seen grazing on the moor, and for the bird watchers there are Buzzards, Kites, Snipe and Woodcocks to be spotted.
In the village you will find the Black Venus Pub, voted best pub in North Devon. They serve delicious locally produced meals, and it is within walking distance of the cottage (remember to take the torch for the walk back).
Challacombe Post Office and Store keeps all the essentials, this is where our welcome packs come from. They also serve cream teas in the afternoon, again within walking distance from the cottage.
